Yep, my favorite computer store is now officially closed… It makes me a bit sad because I’ve been a customer since 1998, it was the first computer store to visit when I needed computer stuff, I went to the store in Chula Vista and it had a message that said it filed for Chapter 7… I dunno what that is, but I think it must be something about bankruptcy…

It makes me sad, because it’s one of the few (if any) LOCAL friendly computer stores around, where you talk to the tech guys yourself and could always find the new stuff for the time to upgrade your computer. It wasn’t just a store, it was a chain, it had over 7 locations in California and some in other states, it also had a huge community of people in their forums, they hosted the Case Madness competition, where you made something crazy (modified your computer case) to make it look better or more useful, they had great deals every week.

That image is on the website itself, www.pcclub.com.

There’s still two local alternatives, www.mpcoutlet.com and www.bestdealcomputers.com but it’s not the same experience, I guess I’ll better go a bit further at www.frys.com.

Thanks PCCLub for all these years of providing one of the best personal and local computer services around.
